Isabelle & Denis Pommier Chablis '21

Marvelously complex and compelling Chardonnay where apple, stone fruit, citrus, and tropical flavors burst from the glass, expanding to include pear, kiwi, starfruit, butter, and sweet cream on the palate, and the telltale chalky minerality of Chablis. The winery and vineyards are located in and around the village of Poinchy, which is just outside of Chablis itself. The wines from this area tend to be ever so slightly more generous on the palate in terms of power and amplitude, but with a clear and distinct line of briny minerality and acidity that unmistakably scream “Chablis”! 100% Chardonnay grown in the Kimmeridgien slopes in Chablis and Portlandian in Ligny le Chatel. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in tank, then aged on the lees in tank for 6 months. AgriBio certified since 2010, farms organically and manually works the soils.
